This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform overhead energised low voltage (LV) work in an electricity supply industry (ESI) environment.

Equipment & PPE

Suitable working aloft in a live environment to complete a task such as EWP/ladder, insulated line covers, insulated hand tools, tensioning equipment, insulated temporary conductor supports, temporary insulated jumper bridges. Suitable work are to perform a live or simulated live task.

Assessment approach

Learners will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:

  • Theory/Written Assessment (e.g. Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice, Verbal Questioning Interview)
  • Direct Observation/Practical Assessment (e.g. Workplace, Simulated Environment, Role Play/Scenario)

  • have current certification in the required prerequisites.
  • be literate in spoken English and competent in reading, writing, and numeracy.
