Course Design

RelyOn Australia provides instructional design capability to build a training course from the ground up. Drawing on the principles of good instructional design and innovative content development, our Instructional Designers use a proven methodology that delivers a quality product, we call this methodology VOLTS.

VOLTS is a design process that Validates the requirements, Organises and optimises the course assets, Launches the content through on time delivery to client specification, Tests the delivery outcomes to ensure alignment with client and end user needs, and Supervises the process for an end-to-end quality outcome.

Throughout the entire process the RelyOn Australia quality management system will be applied to all elements of VOLTS including frequent and close engagement with our client.

VOLTS

Validation and Analysis

Our Instructional Designers will validate an existing training needs analysis or conduct an analysis process with our client to clearly define the audience, delivery modes, learning outcome, objectives and teaching points.

Validate: we will appoint a learning experience specialist to work with our client’s team to thoroughly analyse the learning outcomes, objectives, teaching points, audience, delivery modes and schedules. During the analysis phase the project lead will confirm the contracted scope of work and agree with the client on the prioritisation of work, deliverables, timetables and processes for review and approvals, and communication and file transfer protocols.

Our Clients

Optimise, Design and Develop

We will design a learning structure and create story boards that our client can review and approve throughout a thorough design process. Once the design is approved we can develop the content for the course including any resources that are needed.

Optimise: using the outputs of the analysis process step we will assign learning designers to commence the overall design and development of the courses to meet the agreed outcomes, schedules and technical requirements. RelyOn Australia does not use proprietary coding and content development systems so that amendments can be made using commercially available design tools where the client and RelyOn Australia have agreed to give access to source files.

Our Clients

Launch and Implement

We can assist our client to launch and sustain the implementation of the courses using their systems or through using the RelyOn Australia learning management system The Bridge.

Launch: we will provide access to learning designers to work with the Client to implement the courses on the client’s learning management system or host the content on the RelyOn Australia system ‘The Bridge’.

Test and Evaluate

Test and Evaluate: We can assist clients in gathering feedback and conduct analysis for continuous improvement of the course product.

Our Clients

Supervision and Project Management

We will provide a client contact who will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the course product. This will include establishing a schedule and milestones across the project.

Supervise: we will assign a project lead that will define a project plan in concert with the client to manage each phase of the project. The project lead will work with key RelyOn Australia functions to assign appropriate resources at the appropriate time and with the client on conduct of reviews and approval processes. The project lead will also assist in any issue resolutions.
